Maggie Coloring

So, I couldn't help myself... after I saw the pic that FrothingLizard drew for me, I wanted to outline it and color it in... *LOL* I'm not sure if this is a good color scheme or not... I've never really had a good eye for color... I also tried to do some shading according to some shady-look spots that were on the sketch that FL drew... Not sure if I did a good job with that or not, either...

Anyway, I THINK these colors look good. For sure, I know I want Maggie's eyes to be red, and her hair black... and also I can't picture Mary-Jane shoes in any other color but black (I know they come in different colors... LOL... But I just like the looks of the black ones better)...

I kind of like the brown color of Maggie's fur... Though, I wonder if she might look better/cuter in a different color? Gray? Silver? Lighter brown? Darker brown? Red-brown? Golden-brown? I figure black is out since that'd probably be too much black what with her hair already being black and such...

I had a really hard time trying to decide what color her dress should be... A light color... or a dark color? And I was trying to think of what color would go well with the colors already on her...

I thought about yellow... but I decided that might be a bit too... sunshine-y for a non-Normal.

I thought red would probably be too repetitive...

I thought about purple... but... seemed too much like Darkwing...

I toyed with the idea of pink... but... again, not sure about it for a non-Normal... maybe it could've worked, though... I dunno.

Finally, I decided on a dark blue color... and I like the way it looks. It seems really appropriate because it doesn't clash that I can see... and it seems kind of like a color that an enforcer for the Council of Mages would wear... (I always think of mages as wearing dark blues and greens and purples and black). And then, I also looked at it, and I was like... Hey.. that dark blue is kind of police-ish looking, too. *LOL* And I tend to describe her as a sort of "supernatural cop" so... *LOL*

I decided to add some white to the outfit, too... I'm not sure why... it just seemed like a good idea... also... I originally had the bow as a dark blue... but it seemed to kind of blend in with her hair... it didn't really stand out that much... so... I made the bow white. I think that looks better...

I dunno...

Also, FL, if you still want to outline and color Maggie, too, feel free to do that (you do a much better job of that kind of thing than I do, anyway... lol)... you can experiment with colors, too... if you see something that looks like it might be better, I'd be happy to see it.
